The Putting Academy is run by Richard Drake and is based at Bush Hill Park Golf Club North London(10 minutes from junction 25 of M25) giving putting lessons using the SAM PuttLab including to many professionals.

The SAM PuttLab gives a 28 point analysis of your putting stroke which can be used to pinpoint areas for improvement. The system is used by many European Tour professionals and can be frequently seen on the practice green at tour events.

Joanne Mills wins the S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe on the Ladies European Tour

Jo's  final total of 6 under par was good enough to win by 1 shot. It was her first win on tour for 10 years. It was pleasing for me having worked with her on the SAM PuttLab in the winter. This and her hard work has seen her have one of her best years on tour.  In her 4 rounds she had 27, 29, 33 and 28 putts.

She has always been a good putter but was struggling to hole putts outside 8 feet. This is what we worked on and she now says she feels she is going to hole a lot inside 15 feet.

The result moves Jo up to 7th in the Order Of Merit

Putting is in most cases 40% of your game and a small improvement can knock shots off your score. Everyone can make improvements in their putting. You spend hundreds of pounds on drivers yet a fraction of that amount spent on putting lessons could actually save
